Mountain Movers Prayer Fellowship – February 2015

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God[a] may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 16-17

 In February’s prayer fellowship we-

-praise God for His Word and unfailing love

-pray for new believers

-pray for adequate provisions for the children in our care

 Sunday, Feb. 1 Psalm 84.1-12 Give thanks for Mustard Seed’s participation at Mission Fest Vancouver. Pray for Frank and Heidi as they share our hope for Indonesia and India.

Feb. 2 Luke 2.22-40 Teachers at SCA need to take courses and pass exams to meet the government’s new accreditation policy. Pray for the means and strength for their success and courage to keep pressing on in the face of uncertainties.

Feb. 3-4 Isaiah 40.1-31 The landlord of SCA school has sold the property and we must relocate. There is land nearby for sale at a cost of $200,000. This would provide for the future of SCA . Pray hard.

Feb. 5 1 Corinthians 9.1-14 Praise God for the “youth explosion” event in a jungle community. Eighty youth came forward during worship to accept the Lord. Others came for prayer and recommitment.

Feb. 6 1 Corinthians 9.15-27 Give thanks for the 19 leaders from four countries who led the youth in worship music and soccer workshops at the Youth Explosion Event.

Feb. 7 Job 7.1-8 Pray for the local pastors and church leaders to encourage the use of new skills developed for God’s glory and to mentor new believers.

Sunday, Feb. 8 Mark 1.29-45 Rejoice in the call God has made on the lives of Mustard Seed’s student teachers in the TransformNation program. They are called to be His disciples and to disciple others.

Feb. 9 2 Kings 5.1-15 Pray for several TransformNation students who are leading local community mentoring/homework tutoring clubs.

Feb. 10 2 Kings 5.16-27 Pray for wisdom for dorm parents Wilson & Jules and Dadang & Arti as they mentor the student teachers.

Feb. 11-12 1 Corinthians 10.-11.1 Pray for students’ families. They miss their children and their community often criticize them for supporting further education.

Feb. 13 1 Corinthians 12.12-31a Pray for the student teachers to excel in their academics and spiritual formation.

Feb. 14 1 Corinthians 12.31b–13.13 God is Love Give thanks for the leaders of Mustard Seed children's homes as they advance their ministry of compassion and discipleship to children who have been orphaned, abandoned, or abused.

Sunday, Feb. 15 Mark 9.2-13 Pray that children in CNA School would be a bold testimony on serving in the community during their “blessing” trips.

Feb. 16 Mark 9.14-29 Give thanks for the Mustard Seed kindergartens, which are a beautiful ministry not just to little children but to young moms.

Feb. 17 Deuteronomy 34.1-12 Pastor Santosa’s heart is set on training the next generation of pastors up and down the river. Pray for the Lord’s favor.

Feb. 18 Psalm 51.1-19 Pastor Santosa’s campus is growing. Pray for vision for the preschool, junior, and senior high school principals.

Feb. 19 Psalm 25.1-22 Thank God for the opportunities Pastor Santosa and his wife Leah have sharing the Good News with people of majority faith and Hindu backgrounds.

Feb. 20-21 Genesis 6 & 7 Pray for strength and perseverance for Pastor Sani & Elka as they reach out to mountain villages from the children’s home and for those who stay to serve in these locations.

Sunday, Feb. 22 Genesis 8.1-22 The children’s home is located at a relatively low elevation resulting in frequent flooding. Pray for a remedy and the resources to divert the heavy rainfall.

Feb. 23 Genesis 9.1-17   Pray for all Pastor Sani’s children at the home to mature in faith and to bless their community.

Feb. 24 Genesis 12.1-20 Remember Wiwik in prayer as she encourages her teachers to be creative as they teach and disciple students.

Feb. 25 Genesis 13.1-18 Ask God to bless Wiwik’s grade 7-9 students both in and outside the classroom.

Feb. 26 Genesis 17.1-22 Pray for energy and perseverance for Mr. & Mrs. Sendi as they guide the children at SOH children’s home.

Feb. 27-28 Psalm 22.1-31 Praise God for the safe haven SOH is to 70 children. Many are older teens who help at the home and at the same time attend college.
