Pray
Everything begins with prayer! We serve a God who allows us to participate in His plan for mankind and we must support everything we do with an earnest seeking of God’s direction and knowledge of His will for our lives and ministry. We have a section of our website devoted to providing specific requests for the various ministries of MSI. The prayer request of the day can be found at the top of each page on the website. If you would like to receive a week’s worth of prayer requests email to you once a week, please supply your name and email address using the form on the right.
Give
MSI ministries rely on your financial support to fund the work we do around the world. When you give to MSI, should also know that MSI does not have a paid administrative staff. Several years ago the MSI Board of Directors chose a path less traveled and authorized an all-volunteer office staff. In addition, the Trustees chose to raise their own individual support to cover any expenses they incur as representatives of MSI. This allows MSI to direct 100% of all ministry designated contributions for ministry purposes rather than a percentage being used to cover administrative costs.
With our volunteer staff and no payroll expenses, the remaining day to day operating expenses (such as printing, postage and telephone) are covered by generous donors who designate a portion of their gifts specifically for operating expenses. Even our office space is donated.
Volunteer
As we mentioned, all of our staff is volunteer and we can always use help with tasks on a variety of levels, including:
- Prayer Warriors
- Office Assistance
- Prayer List Coordinator
- Website Assistance
- Monthly Newsletter Mailings
- Correspondence
- Building Repairs and Improvements
Plan and go on a short-term mission trip
Short-term teams have long-term impact. We know that short-term missions experiences have considerable impact on: the team member, the senders, and the hosts (nationals and missionaries). As a result of short-term teams members have: made disciples, become career missionaries, increased their prayer and financial commitment to missions, and developed significant cross-cultural relationships.
Consider a long-term mission commitment
MSI needs long-term volunteers to fill specific needs overseas. Individuals such as teachers, medical professionals, construction craftsmen and various other skills are needed. Following an expression of interest, specific steps would be required to insure the person desiring to serve with MSI is like-minded with the purpose, mission and theological beliefs of MSI.
