Welcome and thank you for your interest in Mustard Seed International.
The true measure of any Gospel ministry is its value in the light of God’s eternity. Are souls being reached for Christ? Is God being glorified?
Mustard Seed International (MSI) is an interdenominational, evangelical Christian missions organization, originally established in Formosa (now known as Taiwan) following World War II. For sixty-plus years God has used MSI to bring the saving knowledge of His Son, Jesus Christ, to tens of thousands of men, women and children.
The vision of MSI is best expressed in the words of our founder:
“To present Christ to all we meet, to heal disease and all manner of suffering and to love sincerely and deeply those people whose lives we are privileged to touch.” Lillian Dickson (1901-1983)
In MSI sponsored kindergartens, elementary, middle and high schools…through orphanages and homes for abandoned children…through Bible College and Seminary training of pastors, lay leaders and church planting teams…through medical care in clinics and hospitals, through meeting the needs of street children and homeless families, MSI seeks to put hands and feet to the words of Jesus found in Mark 16:15 (LB), “…you are to go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone, everywhere.”
What began in Taiwan now stretches across much of Southeast Asia, into India, and more recently into Africa. William Carey, the father of modern missions, once wrote: “Attempt Great Things For God, Expect Great Things From God.” These words ring true when looking over the history of MSI. God surely blesses what is done in His Name and for His Glory!
Please pray that God will continue to lead and guide MSI, that we will be good stewards of His provisions, and that we will, with a Christ-like compassion, minister to the poor, lost and suffering people in far-away and often forgotten places around the world. May we always remember the words of Jesus found in Matthew 25:24 - “Inasmuch as you have done it unto the least of these my brothers, you have done it unto me.”
It is our prayer that many like-minded believers will partner with us through their prayers and financial support as we labor to sow seeds of hope in a world of need.
