SPECIFIC PRAYERS FOR THE FIELD DURING COVID-19 CRISIS

Pray for the Spirit of hope to come against the spirit of fear. May all of our field workers, site leaders, TfN students, teachers and children be voices of hope during this adversity. May they be bold in faith, strong in compassion and overflow in kindness to their families and neighbours.

Please pray for our International Field Director and site leaders to have courage and wisdom from the Holy Spirit to take necessary action, when needed, to protect our teachers, students and the children whom we cared for.

Pray for protection for all teachers, students and children who live in malaria-prone areas. May God protect them and cover them during this fragile time.

Pray for God to limit and stop the spread of the Covid-19 virus, especially in remote areas where medical personnel, hospitals and access to water are scarce.

Pray for one TransformNation student who is currently sick with typhoid fever and was admitted to the hospital. May she gain strength and make a full recovery. Please pray for protection from other diseases during her hospital stay.

Pray for all students who are not attending school at the moment. This generation may be going through the first crisis in their lifetime. May God give them strength and protect them from depression, suicidal thoughts and spending excessive time on the internet, where they may be susceptible to hoaxes, pornography and anything that may suck them in or give them false comfort.

Thank God for churches in North America who provide support and prayer for the work of MSI in Southeast Asia. Every one of them are being impacted in profound ways by this crisis. Some of our friends are sick, losing jobs, uncertain of the future and overwhelmed. Please pray for protection for each one of us: physically, emotionally and spiritually.

May God encourage us and draw us to Himself. May He comfort us with His word. May we be reminded of His faithfulness. Lord, give us peace that passes all understanding and may Your joy be our strength.

APRIL 1 / JOHN 12:1-9 Please pray for our ministers who are going through a storm, overwhelmed, afraid, and uncertain with their work. May they remain courageous and strong in God.

APRIL 2 / JOHN 12:20-43 Pray for TfN students who are resting this week before their exams.

APRIL 3 / ISAIAH 50:1-11 Praise the Lord for 122 TfN applications received this year. This is a new record!

APRIL 4 – 5 / ISAIAH 52:1-12 Ask God to guide the TfN Recruitment Team with discernment and wisdom as they pray, test, and interview applicants.

APRIL 6 / ISAIAH 52:13-53:12 Let us praise our Father in Heaven as we enter Holy Week. May we encounter the meaning of Jesus’ selfless love and may we share that love with others.

APRIL 7 / MATTHEW 26:1-35 Pray for Dian, a TfN graduate. May God guide him in receiving God’s vision for his ministry.

APRIL 8 / MATTHEW 26:36-68 Let us unite our hearts to bless and pray for the TfN students who are completing their exams this week. May God help them to remain focused, calm and confident.

APRIL 9 / MATTHEW 26:69–27:26 God, on this Holy Thursday, we remember the children we minister to. We have welcomed them, blessed them, anointed them, and cared for them as our own. Give us strength to reflect your love to them in everything we do.

APRIL 10 / MATTHEW 27:27-66 Praise the Lord for our new school site plan on the Yapen Islands! May the cooperation with the supportive local government bear more fruit in order to bless many children on the island.

APRIL 11-12 / 1 PETER 3:8–4:6 Thank God that He makes all things new! He holds the keys to death and raised Jesus from the grave, paving the way for us to have new life in Him.

APRIL 13 / DANIEL 12:1-13 Please pray for Meli, a 3rd year TfN student, who is struggling with her health while preparing to be sent as an intern to the Island of Promise.

APRIL 14 / PSALM 16:1-11 May God protect and completely heal Arti, a member of our field team, who is struggling with cancer. In the name of Jesus, we declare all bad cells attacking her body must disappear!

APRIL 15 / ACTS 2:22-42 Please pray for Indah, a TfN intern, who is the principal of Blessing Preschool. May she regain her health after she delivered her baby last month.

APRIL 16 / 1 PETER 1:1-12 We praise God as M Youth Centre is adding two new staff members and a new curriculum. May they be able to implement new relevant ways to reach out to
Generation Z.

APRIL 17 / 1 PETER 1:13-25 Please pray for Hanita and Shinta, two teenagers at Slippery Rock Children’s Home. They are struggling in their relationships with boys.

APRIL 18 – 19 / 1 PETER 2:18-25 Pray for the leadership team at C Empowerment Centre. May God guide them to evolve the vision, as they organize study groups and reach out to children.

APRIL 20 / PSALM 116:1-19 Please pray for Netia, a first year TfN student, to become wiser in managing her time. She is also faithfully praying for her parents to come to know Christ.

APRIL 21 / 2 CORINTHIANS 4:1-18 Please pray for Hihin, a child at Slippery Rock Children’s home. He is from a broken home with unbelieving parents, has become unmotivated and started skipping school.

APRIL 22 / EPHESIANS 4:1-16 Today, our lab school’s staff is supposed to hold an annual gathering. But we cancel all gatherings dur to the covid-19 crisis. Eventhough they are not being together, may God bless them with unity, caring relationships and strength, as they run toward the vision that God has given them.

APRIL 23 / EPHESIANS 4:17-32 We pray for 17 new village schools that started in 2019. May God continue to bless them as they reach out to the surrounding communities.

APRIL 24 / COLOSSIANS 2:6-23 We ask the Lord of the harvest to send out more workers to the field. Prepare our hearts to see the “shepherdless” children attending our schools.

APRIL 25 – 26 / MARK 16:9-20 Today, may God’s will ignite a fire in the hearts of our field ministers, so they can see people the way that God sees them.

APRIL 27 / ACTS 2:43-3:10 We pray for the site leader on the Island of Promise. Bless his wife who is feeling weak during her pregnancy with their second child.

APRIL 28 / ACTS 3:11-26 Pray for the children at our children’s homes. May God guide them to fully grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love and sacrifice of Christ.

APRIL 29 / ACTS 4:1-17 Please pray for a school in Java to get their operational permit so that they can bless their community.

APRIL 30 / ACTS 4:18-37 We bless the development of our school on the Island of Promise. We bless the people who took part in donating building materials and ask God to move many more people to join this mission.
