Thank God for the huge contribution Arti & Dadang have made to TfN. They have responded to God’s call to return to their home island.

Praise God for Beth who has stepped up to be dorm mother to the girls.
SEPTEMBER 3-4 / ECCLESIASTES 3:16 – 4:16
Dean & Jita gave tremendous support starting the new school on Rusen Island. Now they will move to serve at another school in the area. Pray for them.
SEPTEMBER 5 / ECCLESIASTES 5:1 – 6:8
Praise God for the public’s trust given to the school on Rusen Island.
SEPTEMBER 6 / JEREMIAH 4:1-12
Pray for resolution of the land dispute that continues with the Rusen government.
SEPTEMBER 7 / JEREMIAH 4:13-31
Malaria infections are high on Rusen Island. Pray for protection.
SEPTEMBER 8 / PSALM 14
Slippery Rock Children’s Home welcomes 4 new children, 2 are orphaned and 2 have only one parent. Pray for a North American friend to support and pray for them.
SEPTEMBER 9 / EXODUS 32:1-14
Praise God for Iri, Hihin, Reni, Putri, Hadrison, and Gabriel’s successful completion of junior high school. They celebrate their graduation before God and the Slippery Rock family.
SEPTEMBER 10-11 / EXODUS 32:15-35
Pray for Bema, a dorm parent at Slippery Rock, who is experiencing back pain from an old injury.
SEPTEMBER 12 / NUMBERS 21:1-18
Pray for the local government to cease discriminating against Slippery Rock Children’s Home. As an accredited orphanage they should have the same benefits afforded to other orphanages.
SEPTEMBER 13 / JOHN 3:1-17
Praise God for the villagers who are clearing the land and preparing the foundation for a new school building in Harta’s village.
SEPTEMBER 14 / CORINTHIANS 1:18-31
Cement and roofing must be flown in and wood found locally must be processed before construction begins. Pray for the resources and tradesmen expense that is estimated at $10,000.
SEPTEMBER 15 / JEREMIAH 8:4-17
Apparent injustice festers in the hearts of Papuan villages leading to revengeful attacks.
Pray for the people who seek revenge; that they learn to forgive.
SEPTEMBER 16 / JEREMIAH 8:18 – 9:11
Harta asks for prayer for himself, Evan, and Martin’s spiritual growth amidst of dark power and black magic commonly practiced in their region.
SEPTEMBER 17-18 / PSALM 79
Harta asks for prayer that their children will not be traumatized by the tribal wars and black magic that exist in their villages and amongst their tribes.
SEPTEMBER 19 / PROVERBS 3:1-14
Pray for the child left orphaned as the tribes assault each other. Pray for the fighting to end.
SEPTEMBER 20 / PROVERBS 3:15-35
Pray for Harta’s students to learn better ways to resolve conflict.

Join the teachers at K School in prayer for the children to grow in Christian character.

K School teachers say they love God more and grow in faith as they teach the children with love. Praise God!

Pray with K School for an increase in enrollment and additional books and toys to replace the ones that have worn out.
SEPTEMBER 24-25 / AMOS 6
After the children finish school for the day, Tirta teaches his teachers. Praise God for the development of Tirta’s school as it enters its second year.

Give thanks for a display of the new teaching skills shown by Tirta’s four volunteers since returning from the Elevate teacher-training program.

Tirta asks for prayer to strengthen family relationships among teachers, parents, churches, community leaders, and local government representatives.

Tirta asks for prayer for the teachers who are trying to cultivate a reading culture because the children are not accustomed to reading.
