“…and he was heard because of his reverent submission.” Hebrews 5:7b
When new students enter the TransformNation program the community of students widens. So, as I planned for a day teaching about “character” I focused on developing character within the community of students. Our time together started with making crowns. It turned out to be a lot of fun. At the end of the teaching time the students stood in a circle. One-by-one they spoke meaningful verses to each other; “For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.” “Well done, good and faithful servant”, while placing a crown on that student’s head.
At the end we worshipped the King and they symbolically placed the crowns they had received back at His feet.
It was a very powerful time. All praise and glory to God.
