Nine Teachers Safely Arrived to Serve Remote Indonesian Villages

The Indonesian archipelago consists of 17,000 scattered islands inhabited by approximately 1,300 ethnic groups. It is home to 279 million people, 50-70 million of which are Indigenous Peoples.

Thanks to MSI supporters' prayers and donation, nine TransformNation (TfN) interns teachers have safely arrived this July. They have been teaching and mentoring children.

From top left: Diego, Roman, Antonio, Hannah, Amy, Tori, Nina, Juanita, and Joseph.

Joseph, Amy, and Antonio joined 4 other TfN interns to teach 35 students in Mentawai (known as Gapanau Island) Sumatera (number 1 on the map).

Tori and Roman joined 7 other TfN interns and 66 local teachers in a hub school that serves 876 students on Sumba Island or known as the Island of Promise (number 2 on the map).
