Praise God for Lucie Howell’s devotion to the work of Mustard Seed over the years. She retired from her day to day responsibilities in September but not from her ongoing support for God’s work in Indonesia and love for all who make it possible.

Praise God for our field team and the thousands of children who have come to know God because of them.

Pray that God provide wisdom to the leadership team in Java that manages all the sites and programs throughout Indonesia.

Glory to God that through the TransformNation (TfN) program, local leaders are raised up and discipled to share God’s love with more children.

The development of the school on Gapanau Island is proceeding. Praise God!

Please keep the teaching team on Gapanau Island in prayer so that they may feel welcomed and build good relationships with the locals.

Join the Gapanau Island leadership team who is praying for an operational permit from the local government.

Praise God for the new children who recently joined Slippery Rock Children’s Home: Yosua, Aldo, Candra, Paullanda, Jestyn, and Bayu.

OCTOBER 11 / LAMENTATIONS 4
Sadly many children and teachers in Slippery Rock are sick with a fever and cough. Please keep the group in prayer and specifically lift up Tolijan, who has been sick for weeks in the hospital.

OCTOBER 12 / LAMENTATIONS 5
The community of Slippery Rock is in need of funding to support the construction of a 35 meter fence. It will help with the security of the children’s dorm. Please pray that God will move people’s hearts to donate.

OCTOBER 13 / JEREMIAH 31:1-22
Pray for Paul (TfN graduate) desires to know himself better. May he be a vessel of Christ’s love to the children he teaches.

OCTOBER 14 / JEREMIAH 31:23-40
Pray for Wiwik (MSI site leader), who recently lost her daughter due to cancer and is grieving her loss today. Please also pray for her husband who is sick and currently in the ICU.

OCTOBER 15-16 / PSALMS 121-122
Praise be to God for the new floor installation for the clinic at the Borneo site.

OCTOBER 17 / ISAIAH 35
The development of the school’s facilities on The Island of Promise is progressing. Praise God.

OCTOBER 18 / LUKE 1:1-4
Praise God that this year’s theme: “Choose Life” is impacting children’s lives. Pray that the students in Papua are able to practice what they learnt from the retreat last month.

OCTOBER 19 / JOEL 1
Praise God for Raymond (TfN intern) who started a photography club in August to reach out to children.

OCTOBER 20 / JOEL 2:1-17
Vano (TfN intern) has joined the teaching team in the Papuan Highlands. After arriving, he was sick with typhoid fever and malaria, but God healed him. Give thanks!

OCTOBER 21 / JOEL 2:18-32
Please pray for peaceful resolution between the communities involved in tribe wars in the Papuan Highlands. Pray against the spiritual warfare that fuels these wars. May God give protection, strength, and wisdom for Harta, Martin, Tirta, Evan and Vano.

OCTOBER 22-23 / JOEL 3
Let’s join together and pray for provision over the school building development in the Papuan Highlands.

Please pray for Raymond & Alicia (TfN graduates) who are expecting their first baby boy.

The building development of the school in the Papuan Highlands is facing many challenges regarding supplies and workers. Please pray for a breakthrough.

Praise God! Ani (MSI site leader) & Jonathan (TfN graduate) have received new responsibilities to lead a partner school on Nipa Island.

OCTOBER 27 / PSALM 32
Jonathan is praying to be blessed with a motorcycle to assist him in commuting for work and ministry. Let’s pray with him.

OCTOBER 28 / JUDE 1-25
Let’s pray that Karin (TfN trainee) develops self control over her emotions, and builds positive and meaningful relationships with other TfN students in the dorm.

OCTOBER 29-30 / JOHN 8:1-20
Praise the Lord that the school in Java received more students and started a junior high school. Pray that the students will flourish academically and spiritually.

OCTOBER 31 / JOHN 8:42-59
Pray for James (TfN intern) who feels overwhelmed with the different personalities, talents, and backgrounds of each of his students. He asks for God’s perspective in teaching and loving them individually.
