TRANSFORMNATION (TFN) ALUMNI SCHOOLS
After completing the TransformNation (TfN) Program in 2021, alumni, Harta and Tirta, returned to their villages in the Papuan Highlands to pioneer Christian schools.
Travel to Harta's village requires a 7-hour flight, one hour drive and 30-minute hike. Prior to Harta's school opening, the children had never attended school or met a teacher. Harta began with three kindergarten classes, teaching children to read, write, count, and learn about the Bible.
Tirta's school is even more remote, requiring a 7-hour flight, a one hour single-propeller plane ride, and a 2.5 day hike. He has trained seven local teachers through an intensive three-month training at the Lab School. These teachers now teach 134 children aged 4-13.
